BIO
Bruno Modolo is an American record producer, mix engineer, and musician. As a producer, his approach is to capture the artist’s best expressive performance paired with a well-crafted music arrangement. As a mix engineer he likes to bring depth and movement and a creative sonic quality with his production techniques with the use of delays, reverbs and a variety of plugins. However, he believes that creative inspiration is one of our most valuable tools in the studio.
After relocating to Seattle, WA, in 2000 Bruno became a member of the Recording Academy’s Pacific Northwest Chapter. In 2020 he is still an active voting member of the Recording Academy and affiliates with the Producer & Engineer Wing of the academy. In addition, Bruno is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES).
In 2001, Bruno’s first production credit was with Marvin Glover, for his commercial release “ONE”. This was followed by commercial releases for The Satellite Program, IMAGES, Station2Station, and most recently Phono-Paradiso.
Today, Bruno considers a hybrid approach to his record production and mixing. This involves recording anywhere possible to capture the performance with the gear available, cloud file swapping, and remote mix sessions. If needed he will sing, play guitar, bass, or keys on a recording.
Bruno has been actively pursuing music and record production for decades and it’s still “the song” that continues to guides him on the musical journey. He enables artists to create professional sounding recordings and make good music to share with the world.
